In loving memory of Wendy Mavis Osborn, age 74, who passed away on February 4, 2026, after courageously facing a long battle with cancer.
Wendy was born in Langdon, North Dakota, on May 26, 1951, and spent her childhood in Walhalla, North Dakota. In 1970, she welcomed her daughter Christie into the world. Three years later, she moved to Spokane to be near her brother Bill. Shortly after, she met a young man named Jeff who baby sat for her brother. In November of 1973 they married, giving Christie her father.
Wendy owned and operated a daycare for thirty years before the cancer forced her to close. Many of her former children continued to visit her throughout the years- spotlighting the deep and profound relationship she had built with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donna Mae & William Jackson; brothers Jack, Ted, and Bill; sister Candace; nephews Keith Edward, John Moore, Mike Moore, and Dion Vondal; and nieces Laurie Dumas, Joanne Moore and Jody.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Jeffrey; daughter Christie (Justice); daughter-in-law LaDonna Arehart; her beautiful grandchildren; sister Barb Dumas; sisters-in-law Barb Moore and Rhonda Yeado; brothers Bud, Keith, and Don; nieces Cindy Dumas Burns, Toni Moore and Shannon; and nephew Tork Dumas, whom she loved dearly.
Wendy held a particularly close bond with her nieces Zoree Smee, Mayme, and Katie Moore; as well as her adopted grandchildren, Piper and Dominic Hays, who brought her much joy and companionship. Lastly Joe and Nick Hays who shared their lives with Wendy.
She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
