Virginia F. Bown

Mrs. Virginia F. Bown (Crider) died peacefully in her home on November 7, 2018 in Spokane, WA. at the age of 81.  Virginia is survived by her children Carolyn (Matt) Arthur and Deborah (Jess) Cameron; Grandchildren Mason, Lincoln, Isabella and Walker; Nephews Gary (Robin) Wells, Pete (Beth) Michalowicz and Paul (Lori) Michalowicz and their children all of Spokane WA.  She is preceded in death by her husband Howard, her sister Mary, her parents, and her brother.  Virginia was born on February 26th, 1937 in her home in Washington DC to Paul and Cora Crider.  She graduated from Perdue University top 10% of her graduating class in 1959 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a minor in Medicine.   Virginia began working for Dow Chemical as an Analytical Chemist.  She married Howard L. Bown, in 1972.  A funeral is scheduled for Sunday November 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, with a graveside service to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Virginia’s life. Viewing will be held at Riplinger Funeral Home on November 15th and 16th.  The family would like to thank the surgical unit on the 5th floor at Sacred Heart Hospital and Hospice of Spokane for all their compassionate care, love and support.
