Shirley J Ellenz

Shirley Josephine Ellenz passed away July 18th, 2025, after a 4-year battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia. 

She was born on February 12th, 1936, to Joseph and Grace Champagne, in Yakima, WA. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward; and her cherished daughter, Kami; as well as her four brothers, Martin, Harry, Richard, and Joseph Jr.; and her sister, Charlotte. Shirley is survived by her son, Kent; her daughter-in-law, Becky; and her two precious grandchildren, Ashley and Kelsey. 

She grew up in Finley, WA, with her loving family surrounding her. Shirley met her husband, Edward, in Spokane and they were married in June of 1962. She was an active member and Sunday school teacher at Northside Church of Christ. Shirley so loved and adored her pup, Shadow, and enjoyed people watching at the mall while eating her favorite Arby's sandwich with a Jamocha shake. Her sarcastic humor, ever-present smile, and graceful strength will be missed by all who knew her. 

Shirley's funeral service will be held Saturday, July 26th, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Riplinger Funeral Home in Spokane, WA.
