SANDRA AGNES DEITRICK Sandra A. Deitrick, Sandy, (86) died peacefully in her sleep, March 27, 2022 at the home of her youngest son and his family. She was born, October 6, 1935 in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of Stanley Arthur Wheeler and May Elizabeth (Watson) Wheeler. Sandy graduated from North Hollywood High School, Class of 1953. Weeks after graduation, she married Frank Edward Deitrick who preceded her in death in 2016 after celebrating 63 years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Elizabeth Christensen, her two sons, Christopher James Deitrick and his wife Jacqueline of Florida, and Ward Wesley Deitrick, and his wife Kristen of Spokane, Washington, 5 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 7 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson. She refers to her granddaughters as the witches’ coven, and would often say that the Deitrick women would take over the world. Sandy became a U.S. citizen in 1996. She had a penchant for rescuing and bringing stray dogs and cats into her home and loving them all. She and her husband, Frank, loved to spend time in their camper, on the Southern California beaches and mostly at Emma K. Woods state campground in Ventura, California. Two private memorials will be held at the Pacific ocean in Southern California and the Pacific ocean in the Pacific Northwest.
