Robert "Bob" Paul Hull

June 12, 1942 — September 23, 2021

HULL, Robert Paul (Bob)- passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021. He was 79 years old. Bob was born, June 12, 1942 to Robert and Phyllis Hull in Spokane, WA. He attended Rogers High School and joined the Marines in 1960. Bob served with the 8th/155th Battery. He served two years active duty and six years as a Reservist. Bob was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal in 1968. Bob was a lifelong Spokane resident and local business owner; operating Bob Hull Interiors, Inc. for 47 years, retiring in 2011. He was very community minded, being very involved in many civic organizations: Rotary East, Spokane Lilac Festival Association, Boy Scouts of America, and Associated Builders and Contractors. Bob is survived by his wife, Carol, of 41 years, who was the love of his life - as they had a very special and loving relationship; by his four children, David Hull (Tammy) of Spokane, Tana Hull (Essam) of Saudi Arabia, Robert Paul Hull (Kim) of Spokane and Judyth Otero (Andrew) of Pensacola, FL. He loved and enjoyed his 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Bob was a lifelong history enthusiast. It started when he worked for the City and he would spend his free time in the basement archives of City Hall learning all he could about the City of Spokane. He loved to travel and would stop by any and all roadside plaques to read the information on them. He was a loving and gentle man and will be missed by family and friends. “We are so grateful to have had him in our lives.” A service will not be held due to COVID. There will be a public viewing allowing those who wish to pay respects to Bob, at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 28 & 29 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
