Richard "Rich" Elvan Cook, Sr.

    It is with great sadness that the family of “Rich” Cook announce his passing, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Dec 17, 2018.    Rich will be lovingly remembered by his children: Ricky, Cheryl, Dale (Darla), and Michael; grandkids, Heather and Victoria; and by his sister, Joanne (Jack).   Rich was predeceased by his parents, Elvan and Etta; by his sister, Doty; and by his wife, Laura.  A 1960 graduate of Rogers High School, Rich served in the Army National Guard from 1960 to 1966; and retired from the Safeway in Hillyard after 45 years. Dad enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He loved hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, camping and ‘of course’ listening and sometimes singing to good ole Country Music.    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA. “We will miss you Dad!”
