Randy Brickner, 66, of Spokane, Washington passed away on February 5th, 2026 after battling esophageal cancer.
He was born to Melchior and Alys ‘Hennings’ Brickner on December 12th, 1959. After attending Wallace High School and studying abroad in Germany, Randy began his blue-collar career. He worked as a logger, miner, builder, welder, machinist, and eventually became a master pattern maker and craftsman.
Randy will be remembered as a deep thinker, a loving family member, and loyal friend. He was an adventurous traveler, a certified scuba diver, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable soccer coach, a ski instructor for our family and friends, assistant director for Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol, a hard worker, a skilled fisherman, and an excellent craftsman. Randy could build anything & shared his spirit of adventure with the people closest to him.
Randy is survived by his wife Olena, his children and their families; Randi (Brandon), Tony (Lisa), Staci (Alex), and his granddaughters Rilee & Berklee.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 5:00 pm. The memorial will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 6905 N Country Homes Blvd, Spokane, WA with a reception to follow at St. Matthews.
