Mary Irene Carney

Mary Irene Carney passed away January 6, 2021 due to Covid 19. Mary was born to Karl and Anna Schillinger in Davenport, Washington on December 23,1923. Mary and James P. Carney were married July 10, 1945 in Davenport, Washington. They were married 61 years at the time of his passing in 2006. Mary was a wonderful cook. She was well known for her potato salad and apple pie. She had a special touch and they were always perfect. She had a self sacrificing spirt, others always came first. Her family was always very important to her. She was known as the "I love you more" grandma. When her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren would say, "I love you grandma" she would reply "I Love You More!" Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Louis, Walter, Edna, Howard, Frieda, Ernest, Charles, and Kenneth. Mary is survived by her sister Betty Christian of Salem Or. Children James R. Carney (Patty) and Patricia A. Benner (Gary). Grandchildren Gary Jr., Chris (Ginger), Deanna (Troy), Jim (Tina), Angela (Chris). Great grandchildren Tyler, Jay (Kendyl), Shaun, Colton (Tawnisha), Mason, Brett (Hannah), Allison, Amber (Ryne), Stephanie, Mark (Adrienne), Jacob (Emily), Paul (Ciana), Amy (Dustin). Great great grandchildren Jacob, Reighlyn, Addison, Landon, Brooks, Zoey, Quinn, Rylee, Adeline, Jaret, Brody, Ryder, Noah and one more in May of 2021.Due to Covid 19 there will be no service because she said she wouldn't wish it on anyone. However at a later date possibly in June there will be a celebration of life. Info will be at a later date.
