Martha V. Hansen - Gone. 

On October 10, 2026 a beloved mother passed quietly in her home in NE Spokane, Washington. She was 69 years, 10 months. Martha was the mother of two sons, grandmother to 8, great-grandmother to 7 (3 girls and 4 boys).

Her husband remains and is awaiting his trip to reunite with his love in the Wonderful Place above. Her oldest went to Heaven on August 5, 2020. Her youngest, Chris, abides here in Spokane with his wife, Rachel. Her brother David, and her sisters Debbie and Sindy remain.

Martha loved to decorate and write poetry. She worked in Spokane and retired several years ago. She served in churches in Spokane and Spokane Valley. She was an invaluable help and support to her husband Robert. She and Robert were both born in 1956, and met when they were 14 1/2 years of age. They were married when Martha was 18 years and 4 days, and had their two sons before her 20th birthday. Martha used her wisdom to help her whole family. After 52 years of marriage she currently is missed by her husband and all her loved ones. 

She wrote this poem for those left behind.

Don't Cry for Me - by Martha Hansen
Don't cry for me,
I'm really not dead
I'm just living in Heaven
With Jesus instead.
My body is perfect
I'm no longer fat
When I look down
My stomach is flat.
I run and I laugh
I play and I sing
Being in Heaven
Is a wonderful thing.
So don't cry for me
We'll meet again one day
When it's your turn
To come to Heaven to stay.
Then together we'll worship
The Lord at His feet
A most wonderful thing
That can't be beat.
