Marjorie Castle

Marjorie Lynn Castle (nee. Dukes) passed away on September 10th, 2026 after a brief but strong battle with cancer. Marjorie was surrounded by love and family as she passed from this earthly plane.

Marjorie was born in Jacksonville, Florida to parents Mary and Walter Dukes. She spent her youth as a child of the navy and traveled extensively across the United States with her mother, father, and three siblings Stephen, Jeannie, and Tracy. The family settled down in the Pacific Northwest where Marjorie became a mother to her eight children. She later fell in love with and married her spouse Don Castle.

Marjorie was above all else a dedicated mother, grandmother, and spouse, but she was also a kind and generous woman to all she met. Her door was always open and her kitchen always warm. She would help you with a brilliant smile on her face and feed your belly at the same time. She was often making food or baking a tray of cookies for those she loved. Marjorie had a way of making everyone she met feel welcome, loved, and part of the family. This kindness never waned even when the cancer made it difficult for her. She still maintained a smile and kind heart to the end. For those that knew her she was a warm and beautiful light in this world.

Throughout her life, Marjorie always had a strong connection to her faith and dedicated much of her life to it. She referred to herself as a prayer warrior and prayed extensively for both those she knew and strangers she had never met. She maintained a weekly prayer group and attended church. When the cancer prevented her from leaving the house, she remained strong in her faith by praying daily and receiving the Holy Sacrament. Her undying faith will remain a beacon for those who are survived by her.

She is survived by her husband Don, brother Stephen, sisters Jeannie and Tracy, her children Anthony, Donald, Keith, Chris, Joshua, Anna and Garrett, Colm, and Leland, her step-children Ryan and Beau and Holly and Lawrence, her spiritual children Jake, Mariah, and Logan, and her seven grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30am on Sat., Sept 19, 2026 at Mount St. Michael. A rosary will be held in her honor the night before at 7pm.
