Luanne Brown

Luanne was born in Spokane and grew up in the Mead area. She graduated from Mead High school in 1982.

Luanne spent 25 years competing as an athlete for the Special Olympics Mead Pride team -- receiving 60+ medals in Track and Field, Softball/baseball and Basketball. Even after she completed her years with Special Olympics she continue to compete in Bloomsday each year. She also spent several years of square dancing, and enjoyed bowling every week. She also loved to travel and went on several cruises.

She attended Calgary Chapel where she spent time with her friends and enjoyed Sunday school. 

Luanne is survived by her brother Jim Brown (Sheryl), niece Dallas Valenzuela (Ryan), 3 great-nephews, 2 great-nieces as well as many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Father Howell “Bo” Brown, her mother Kay Brown (Baker), and nephew Jesse Brown.

She had a smile and so much positive energy! She brought color and light to all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.
