Janet Humphries

Janet Kay Buffington Humphries passed away after a long illness on January 18, 2026 in Spokane, Washington. She was Born in Ione, Washington and grew up in Metaline Falls, Washington. She is survived by her husband, Orin Humphries of 58 years ten months, their son, Rick Humphries, daughter Carol Rayman, and granddaughters Mylissa Kneff and Kristen Rayman-Curnew.

Janet attended Eastern Washington University and Spokane Community College. She was an outstanding medical office worker. Her talents included scrapbooking and was a master of custom greeting card making, a craft which she spread to so many others. She was an avid birder and enjoyed travel, snow shoeing, hiking, and nature viewing. She was a member of a couple of sororities through life and enjoyed a weekly, rotating-home pinochle club.
