George Herner

George Roderick Herner, 56, passed away in his home in Cheney, WA on February 20, 2024. George was born June 18, 1967 in Bremerton, Washington to George and Delores Herner. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School and went on to graduate from Spokane Community College with a degree in electronics and Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in education. He is survived by his children, Sarah Lukes (Justin), George Jr. Swartout [Herner], and Joseph Herner, his parents George and Delores Herner, and his sisters, Jennifer Herner-Thogmartin (Wayne), Kayse Feeder (Greg), and Natalie Herner (Marc), his long time companion Debra Clark, and a long list of nephews and nieces as well as other relatives and friends. George will be missed by many.

George was a very social person and enjoyed hanging out with friends and family. He dabbled in many careers in sales and as a realtor before going back to school. He loved Snoopy and got very good at drawing the dancing Snoopy. George loved coaching and playing soccer and used to say he was going to play until he was 70.
