COOPER, Alton Lee – Born on Sept. 12, 1928 to Walter Theodore and Mildred Clowser Cooper, Alton passed away on March 26, 2021 in Spokane, where he has resided with family since 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean, on August 31, 2012, and by a sister last year. He is survived by sons, Daniel Lee (Katherine), John Stephen (Holly), and by James David (Julie) Cooper; by his daughter, Mary Beth (Larry) Stalley; by twelve grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Including local area granddaughter, Jessica (Charlie) Armentrout of Hayden, ID, and their sons (great-grandsons) Christopher and Jackson. He was led to the Lord Jesus, while in the USAF (Army Air Corps) and stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. He then attended Bible College at Midwestern School of Evangelism, Ottumwa, Iowa, where he met and married Alma. Together, they served in churches (Churches of Christ) and mission fields including churches in: Billings, MT; Englewood, Alamosa and Commerce City Colorado; Springfield, VT; Bedford, IN; Nazareth, Israel, Warrenton, and Front Royal, VA. Riplinger Funeral Home is the chosen Mortuary. Service will be held on Thursday, April 8th, at the WSVC in Medical Lake, WA. A thank you to Senior Helpers and Hospice of Spokane!
