It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved uncle, Alan Eugene Shadowen. Alan passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 74.
Alan had an incredible sense of humor and the loudest laugh in the room. He was a kind, generous, fun, and outgoing man. He had many friends and impacted everyone who met him.
Alan was born in Spokane, Washington on April 11, 1950, to Eugene and Lora Shadowen. Alan graduated from Mead High School in 1977. He obtained an AA in Seattle. He managed the UA Cinemas in Spokane for years. He retired as a rural postal carrier from the United States Postal Service.
Alan loved life and lived it well. He loved music, travel, the outdoors, classic cars, antiques, fine dining, and people.
Alan is preceded in death by his parents Lora and Eugene, his sister Kay, and his niece Pamela.
Alan is survived by his nieces Kimberly, Lindsey, and Melody; his nephew Cody; his great nieces Sierra, Meegan, Elisa, and Lila; his great nephews Eldon, Stetson, Kahnor and Talhon; his great great niece Waylen and great great nephew Ryker.
