Deirdre Diane Greer

July 15, 1963 — January 8, 2018

Deirdre Diane Greer lived a beautiful, giving, and faithful life of 54 years. Quirky, clumsy, and stubborn she attacked life with a ferocious spirit which all her loved ones adored. No matter what personal struggles she faced, she always put God and others before herself. As a nurse she truly cared for her patients and did anything from deliver babies (treasured memories for her) to operate on dogs in a humble and loving manner. She served as a missionary in Honduras on an island called Helene for nearly 6 years and while there cared deeply for the sick, poor, and made lifelong friends. Her favorite past times were crafting with her grandchildren, loving her 2 cats, and delving deeper into her relationship with Christ Jesus. She passed on January 8th, 2018 from end stage cancer in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. She leaves behind four close sisters; Lisa, Sheila, Daphne, and Sylvia: two sets of devoted parents; her father Curt and step mother Barbara Greer, her mother Nanci and step father Dave Lee: her son Jason and daughter in law Chantale Morgenstern: her three grandchildren; Aubrie, Wyatt and Cody Morgenstern whom she adored; her step brother Bryan who was always there for her, her step brother John and so many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends from Puyallup, WA to the island of Helene and everywhere in between, and colleagues from Providence VNA where she worked up until her passing. When you love openly and give yourself to others freely as Deirdre did you amass too many loved ones to list by name and these many people will love and miss her dearly. Her services will be held at Life River Fellowship in Spokane Valley, WA on Saturday January 20, 2018 at 2pm. God Speed Deirdre, you are so loved and will be ever missed by the many people whose lives you made better with your every day.
