Karen Kay Preston

PRESTON, Karen Kay (age 75) Karen was born on July 7, 1942 near Edgeley, North Dakota to Luella V. Beebe. She passed away on January 7, 2018 in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1960 and married the late, Thomas A. Preston in 1961. They had one daughter, Donna, while living in California. Upon divorce, Karen moved to Spokane, WA in 1967 where she started her career as a Paralegal. She was passionate about her job and reflected that in her 40 plus years of service. She was a devout Lutheran and carried her faith with her through the end. She adored animals and had special attachments to them throughout her life. Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Luella in 1989. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Preston (Spokane, WA); grandsons Kellen M. and Julian T. Blair (Spokane, WA); granddaughter Payton T. Thorson (Spokane, WA); close friends Elizabeth Woodfill, Debbie King, Sammy Bloyed; also many cousins, nieces and nephews.
