Enid P Tronsen

December 31, 1923 — October 16, 2017

TRONSEN, Enid Avilda – Enid passed away at Buena Vista Nursing Home in Colville, WA, on October 16, 2017. She and Edith were born on December 31, 1923 in Dooley, in the far Northeast corner of Montana. She had vivid memories of the Dust Bowl, the Depression, and the Second World War. Perhaps the greatest tragedy was the death of her twin in a tragic accident involving a man-lift in a grain elevator. She graduated from Kalispell High School and then went on to Nursing School in Spokane. However her scholarship was cancelled due to the war. She met Petra Tronsen, her future Mother-in-law, while working at the hospital. Petra insisted she meet her son, Andy. Andy and Enid were married in 1944 and had five children, Karen Oldfield, Nancy Stephens (Michael), Enid Liddell (Randy), Ellen Ballance (Keith), and Dale Tronsen (Kay). She had very diverse interests participating in the Spokane Camera Club, writing and quilting. She took classes at Whitworth in Memoir writing and produced an interesting anecdotal family history. She worked for DSHS in Spokane and Colville. She is going home to meet her parents, Earl and Ida Potter; her brother, Dean Potter; her twin sister, Edith; her daughter, Nancy and many other dear friends and relatives. She is survived by her children, all of whom live in Eastern Washington, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be exploring heaven as she has the world. She was a world traveler going to Spain, England, Kyrgystan, Brazil, Thailand and Alaska. “We love you Mom!” Services will be on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the North Addison Church, 6120 N Addison St., Spokane, WA. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Peone Prairie Cemetery.
