Clarence "Ray" Johnson

August 31, 1951 — June 29, 2017

JOHNSON, Clarence “Ray” – Passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. His wife was by his side, as well as, his loving family. “He was the most gentle, patient, generous and loving soul I have ever met. And, we were very grateful and privileged to share our lives with him.” He was a very compassionate and caring person, who was loved and respected by anyone who knew him or those who were lucky enough to call him ‘friend’. “You were such an important part of all our lives – especially your family and friends and YOU will be missed forever by those whose lives you touched.” His strength and courage and love are a testament to his life and the kind of person he was. He will always be remembered for the way he lived his life and for all the good times spent with family and good friends. He is preceded in death by his dad, Clarence and by his sister, Wanda. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane; his mother, Alice; his daughter, Alicia; his son, Christopher; his grandkids, Ryan, Nicholas, Corey and Cayden; sisters and brother-in-law, Pam Anderson and Cheryl and Jeff Menteer; nieces and nephews, Meredith and Beth, Danielle and Rory; and mother-in-law, Shirley Moore, (all who thought the world of him and considered him to be a very special part of their family). A memorial service will be held on this Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N DIVISION.
