On September 16, 2009, our loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all, laid down to rest after a brief but difficult battle with breastcancer. Carol grew up in Tekoa, WA and graduated from Tekoa High School in 1974. In 1983, she gave birth to her first daughter, Kahlil. She later met, fell in love with, and married her husband, Cary Lee Nelson. In 1992, they added another daughter to the family, Christina Caroline. Shortly after, in 1993, their son Johnny was born. In 1994, after his own battle with cancer, husband Cary passed away. Carol was a beautiful, fun loving woman who LOVED to cook, do yard work, take care of her flowers, and play at the casino. Above all else, Carol loved her family. Attending her children’s sporting events and playing with her grandbabies were by far her favorite pastimes. She is survived by her mother, Mary Bohara; siblings, Bob Bohara, Dave Bohara, Becky Harris, and Julie Smith; children, Kahlil Sitton, Christina and Johnny Nelson; and grandbabies Ehrinn and Mauriyah Sitton. In addition to her relatives, Carol had a large family of friends by whom she will be deeply missed and always remembered. Although her time with us was much too short, Carol lived a happy life full of love, laughter, and good times. Her memory will live on in each of us who knew her and her spirit will forever fly with the angels. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM today Friday, September 18, 2009 at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. Division. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Riplinger’s Chapel of Flowers. All who care to come help us celebrate Carol’s life are welcome to attend.
