Rachel Lee Mahoney

Of Spokane, Wash-ington, passed away on May 5, 2017. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, May 12, 2017 at 3624 West Indian Trail Rd., Spokane, WA 99208. Fr. Tim Hays of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be officiating. A private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will follow the funeral and reception. Funeral arrangements are being handled by RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME . Rachel was born in Spokane, WA on March 24, 1973. She attended Rogers High School. Rachel loved family gatherings, antiquing and camping and she spent many happy hours jet skiing from the dock of the family property on the Pend Oreille River. The highlight of her summer was huckleberry picking and attending the Ione Downriver Days Festival. Rachel worked as an Inside Salesperson and Manager for Motion Auto Supply for 16 years and retired in June, 2015. Rachel was married to her beloved Tom Mahoney on October 24, 2010. Rachel is survived by her husband Tom; her children Chelsea Elmer and Jonathon Graham; mother Nancy Borden, father Doug Larson; her second father, Terry Borden ("Mr. B"); sister Jessie (Scott) Butler; brothers Tom Watson, Jake (Kyra) Larson, Eric Larson, Ryan Larson; grandmother Helen Watson; nieces and nephews Luke, Jackson, Ethan, Lexi, Corbin, Megan and Ryan; in-laws Willie, Laura, Kevin, Dorothy and Emma Mahoney, Susan and Noel Graham, Barbara Woods and friends too numerous to list. Rachel is preceded in death by her grandparents Doris and Dale Larson and her grandfather Marv Watson. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to SpokAnimal.org or the ALS Foundation.
