William Allen Langland

LANGLAND, William Allen (Age 83) – Born on October 4, 1933 in Minnesota. He peacefully went to be with the Lord, at home, with his loving wife by his side on March 1, 2017 in Spokane, WA. Bill’s family moved to Garfield, WA when he was 3 years old and moved to Spokane, WA when he was 8 years old. He graduated from Northwest Christian High School in 1952. After high school, he was employed at Kaiser Trentwood. In May of 1953, Bill was drafted into the Army and served in Germany until 1955. When he returned home, he married Roberta Williams on September 3, 1955. Bill went back to work for Kaiser Trentwood, working there for 42 years, until his retirement. Bill was active in church functions at First Free Methodist Church; especially with sports teams as a coach and player. He loved traveling and camping and falling out of canoes! His hobby was sketching and painting outdoor scenes. He especially enjoyed activities with his loved ones and church family. He and Roberta have been members of First Nazarene Church for 25 years. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years; three daughters, Debbie Kreuch (Mike), Cheryl Wayman (Bill), Patti Langland, and son, Mike Langland. He is survived by 4 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and his younger brother, Loren Langland (Mary). He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marjorie Langland and older brother, Dale Langland (Bettie). A special thank you to the staff of Horizon Hospice for their wonderful care. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd, Spokane, WA at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
