Elvin Leroy McConnell

McCONNELL, Elvin L. (age 58) – Entered into rest on January 16, 2017 in Spokane, WA. Born in Rapid City, SD, Elvin has lived in Spokane since 1986. He served in the US Army and had worked as a heavy equipment operator at the Spokane Uranium Mine until 1991. Since that time he has been a loving stay at home Dad, helping his wife, Elizabeth, to raise their four children. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and was a ‘world class’ cook. Elvin is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (O’Neill); daughters, Cassandra and Adrianna; sons, Ian and Tristan, all of Spokane; a son, Jared Bauer-Barkey, of California; a daughter, Ann-Marie Demarrais; brothers, Edward, Michael, Louis, and Patrick; sister, Lori Ann; his mother, Lillian Hatten, all of Rapid City, SD; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 12:30 p.m., at Riplinger Funeral Home and Crematory, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA. Interment with military honors will follow at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery, Medical Lake, WA.
