Robert "Bob" Llewelyn Borchers

BORCHERS, Robert (Bob) Llewelyn (age 80) – Entered into rest on January 15, 2017 in his home town of Spokane, WA. Born in Spokane on August 5, 1936, Bob attended local schools, graduating from John R. Rogers High School in 1954. He then graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education from Eastern Washington University. A man of many talents, Bob enjoyed traveling and playing his accordion for ‘The Silver Spurs’ during 1954-1959. He also taught accordion for 12 years. His beloved occupation was School Teacher and he taught at Valley High School, 1959-1961 and for Mead School District, 1962-1989. Bob’s interests also included memberships in the Street Tins, Corvette Club, Cadillac Club, the Spokane Yacht Club, and the Eagles Aerie #2. He enjoyed restoring and showing his treasured cars, also building homes, Drag Racing, and boating. This past November 24th, he and his wife, Roxana, celebrated 60 years of marriage. Bob is survived by his wife, Roxana; daughter, Valerie Gabriel (Robert) of Spokane; son, Dan Borchers (Domi) of Palm Springs, CA; daughter, Ronda Karn (Roby) of Bellingham, WA; sister, Sharon Paladin of Spokane; grandchildren, Branden Moreau (Brittany), Ashlyn & Taylor Karn; great-grandchildren, Kaeden & Teegan Moreau. Bob’s life will be celebrated at a private family gathering.
