Verna Jean Clark

CLARK, Verna Jean (Gumm) (Age 65) – Passed away while battling pancreatic cancer on December 17, 2016. She was born on March 13, 1951 in a farmhouse in Greenwood, WA to Henry and Thelma Gumm. On October 27, 1979, Verna married her husband, Keith Clark. Together they had two children, Scott and Katie. Verna worked for many years as a registered nurse, until becoming disabled due to a work injury. She was known for her kind heart and strong faith in the Lord. Verna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Henry, Gerald, Jack and Bob, as well as her sisters, Irene and Ruth. She is survived by her husband, Keith of Spokane; son, Scott and wife, Brynn of Spokane; daughter, Katie and husband, Shane Roman of Spokane; five grandchildren, Hannah, Justylynn, Sadie, Noah and Joshua; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Followed by a committal service at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
