Roberta attended Whitman Elementary and John R. Rogers High School. She was married to Harry G. Quinton (who preceded her in death). They remodeled a riverfront home in Nine Mile Falls, WA and lived there for many years. Roberta worked in retail sales and the display department at the Crescent. She was the display manager at Bernard's Fine Clothing in Spokane. She moved to Alaska and worked waitress/cocktail service in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Roberta also worked with an organization that supplied firefighters with food, water, etc, in Alaska. She volunteered with the Battered Women's Center in Anchorage, AK. Her interests were oil painting, china painting, ceramics, clay throwing and various crafts. Roberta was an accomplished seamstress and participated in several sewing seminars that came to Spokane. She was an avid reader. Roberta was also a member of the Nine Mile Ladies Club. Roberta is survived by two daughters, Paulette Cosgrove (Mike) of Spokane and Janette Harberts (Robert) of Missoula, MT. Two grandsons, Aaron Swanson (Karen) of Spokane and Heath Swanson of Seattle, WA. She leaves four great-grandchildren: Quinton, Josephine, Cale Swanson in Spokane and Gunnar Swanson in Seattle, WA. Roberta was a very vibrant person with an enormous amount of energy. She wasn't afraid to tackle any challenge and thought to do so was fun! She will be missed by her family and friends. Remembrance service will be announced at a later date.
