James Joseph Kerst

KERST, James Joseph (Jim) – A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 3083 Hemlock St., Valley, WA, with Father Pat Kerst and Father Jeffrey Lewis celebrants. Jim passed away in Spokane at Hospice House on October 28, 2016, at the age of 76. He was born in Bairoil, Wyoming on July 31, 1940 and farmed in Valley, Washington for 46 years. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mike Kerst; and by his son, James M. Kerst, (1988). He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna; daughter, Elizabeth Harris and family of West Hills, CA; daughter, Rebecca Patel and family of Northridge, CA; son, Jacob Kerst and family of Spokane; step-daughter, Connie Hedrick and family of Kalispell, MT; step-daughter, Pam Hedrick and family of Lewiston, ID; step-son, Dennis Hedrick and family of Delaplane, Virginia; brother, Ted Kerst and family of Spokane; sister, Betty Mauck and family of Tacoma, WA; sister, Mary Wulfekuhle and family of Puyallup, WA; sister, Judy Van Pevenage and family of Medical Lake, WA; and sister, Penny Lyons and family of Roy, WA.
