Sylvia B. Holley

HOLLEY, Sylvia Bee (Chilcote) - Born: July 11th, 1926 in Midwest, WY, Sylvia, entered into rest on October 26th, 2016 in Mead, WA, at the age of 90. She grew up in Priest River, ID, graduating from Priest River High School in 1943. They lived on the Peninsula with many other homesteading families during the Great Depression and WWII. She is also a former resident of Grants Pass, OR and long-time resident of Sutherlin, OR. A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over 60 years, she served a mission in her later years in Salt Lake City, UT, performing work in Spanish extraction. Sylvia also volunteered in many church activities and the County Fair each year in Douglas County, OR. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be missed deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on January 12, 1945, Orville Austin Holley; an infant son, Steven Louis Holley; her parents, Louis Chilcote and Grace Lyda (Boyle) Chilcote and by siblings, Vera (Keller), Billie (Harper), Walter, George, and Gloria. She is survived by her children, Karen Rae (Holley) Fagundes (husband, Tony) and Scott Randell Holley (wife, Jennifer); brother, Donald Chilcote of Priest River, ID; grandchildren, Tammy, Kevin, Robyn, Dallas, Zachary, and Kendall; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Nicholas; and great-great-grandchild, Hailey. A special thank you to Dr. Ronald Ortiz and staff, and Horizon Hospice employees Robert, Shelly, Jill, Stephanie and Tamara for making her comfortable at the end. Funeral service will be Monday, November 7, 2016 at 1:00, at The Brentwood Ward, LDS Church, 401 W. Regina, Spokane, WA. Interment will take place at 12, Noon, on Tuesday November 8th, 2016 at the Evergreen Cemetery, Priest River, ID.
