RICHARDSON, Velma Irene (Age 96) – Born on September 16, 1920 in Estevan Saskatchwan to Mervin and Lydia Flower. Entered into rest on October 25, 2016 in Spokane, Washington. Velma graduated from Minot High School in 1938 in Minot, North Dakota. She has been a Spokane area resident for 75 years. Velma worked at Fidelity Mutual Savings Bank, Downtown Branch for 20 years. She enjoyed Ballroom Dancing, playing hymns on her organ, reading, shopping, and crossword puzzles. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ralph Richardson (married in 1942) in 2001; and a grandson, Dean Wolff in 2011. Velma is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lynch of Spokane; sister, Lillian Tampourlos of Spokane; granddaughter, Shelley Williams of Spokane; three great grandchildren, Blayne Baerwald, Mikayla and Mitchell Wolff. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s (Dementia) nonprofit of choice to continue searching for the cure.
