Harry E. McClelland

McClelland, Harry E. (age 68) – Entered into rest on February 18, 2016 in Spokane, WA, where he was a lifelong resident. Born on May 7, 1947, to Harry L. and Betty McClelland. Harry graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1965. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1968 and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Upon completing his military service, Harry began a 27 year career following the same path as his grandfather, with the Spokane Sheriff’s Dept. working primarily as a Sheriff’s Correctional Officer. In his off time, he enjoyed bowling, pickleball, cribbage and had a passion for golfing. He also was very active with the local softball league where he excelled as a pitcher. Harry is survived by his sister, Leslie (Bill) Spitzer; nephew, Kyle (Tamie) Spitzer; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; his God-Daughter, Jamie (Caleb) Harms and their children, whom Harry considered his grandchildren.
