Nora "DOREEN" Cain

Nora Doreen (Wagenius) Cain May 11, 1928—June 21, 2015   Doreen Cain was born May 11, 1928 to Herman and Ruby Wagenius in the small town of Vida, in Northeastern Montana. She moved with her parents and four siblings to Paradise, Montana, where she attended elementary school. She graduated from nearby Plains High School in1947. In 1949, she met and fell in love with Robert M. Bud Cain. They married on June 5th of that year and enjoyed 64 years of love, companionship and mutual devotion before Bud passed away in 2013. Doreen was the devoted mother of four children, Donald Cain, Kathleen Cain (married to Charles McAleese), Cheryl Cain Sinclair (who preceded her in death), and Curtis Cain (married to Zoe Cain). Her grandchildren are Maggie Lynch (married to Casey Lynch), Jordan Sinclair, Claire McAleese, Kierlyn Cain, Roseanne McAleese, and Emily Cain; her great-grandchildren are Daisy, Jack, Lucy and Henry Lynch. Doreen’s husband and children were her pride and joy, but in addition to being a wonderful and loving parent, she was a spirited and strong-minded individual with a lively sense of humor. She was actively involved in Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, where she had many friends who, along with her family, will miss her very much. A memorial service for Doreen will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N Raymond Road, Spokane.
