William John Conquergood

William John Conquergood (age 70) William entered peacefully into rest on June 14, 2015 at his home in north Spokane. He was born in Great Falls, MT to parents Willie and Alvina Conquergood on December 27, 1944. Bill attended Big Sandy High School and graduated in 1963. He joined the US Army National Guard and achieved the rank of Sergeant Major before being honorably discharged with too many awards to count. Bill worked for the USARNG and civil service as a maintenance supervisor before retiring in 2004. Bill married Shirley Kay Sparks in 1990 and together they spent many wonderful years together. Bill liked old cars, fishing, camping, reading, and his family. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shirley; sons, William J. of Redmond, WA and David A. of Hopkinton, MA; daughter, Tammy L. of Lake Sammamish, WA; step daughters, Deserai L. of Spokane, WA, Annette M. of Lake Tapps, WA, Jacqueline D. of Lake Tapps, WA; sister, Faye Beller of Coeur d’Alene, ID; brother, Howard of Helena, MT; 13 grandchildren, Dyson, Grady, Ethan, Sabyl, Caroline, Ellie, Sander, Toryn, Rayna, Oliver, Ridley, Evan and Jameson. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 9:00am – 8:00pm at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME 4305 N DIVISION in Spokane. Interment will begin at 10:30am Friday, June 19 at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.
