Beatrice Louise Knorr

June 19, 1941 — May 9, 2015

Bea passed into rest on Saturday, May 9, 2015.  She was born on June 19, 1941, to her parents Olive and George Schimanski.  She attended Columbia grade school and John R. Rogers High School, where she graduated in 1959.  Bea met and married her husband, Leonard H. Knorr in 1964, and they were married for 50 years.  Bea was a lifetime resident of the Spokane area. Bea enjoyed sewing, and collected a large amount of material over the years.  Riding the bus to downtown Spokane to enjoy movies or just shopping the stores, was a favorite pastime. A member of Minnehaha Covenant Church, she enjoyed attending services and making friends there.  Bea was a member of many area Senior Centers, where she enjoyed taking many trips with the group.  She also enjoyed creative writing classes, wrote poetry, and journaled everyday.  Swimming was also a favorite pastime. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, H., and two brothers, Edward and Elise Schimanski, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will begin at 1:00PM on Monday, May 18, 2015 at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 4305 N DIVISION SPOKANE, WA followed by a gathering at 4424 E Frederick Ave., Spokane, WA.  The family asked that anyone that wants to may attend.
