Natale "NAT" Joseph Bonanno

BONANNO, Natale “Nat” Joseph - Loving husband, father, and grandfather joined the Lord Saturday, September 20th. Born in New York City, Nat married his wife of 50 years, Biruta, in 1964. Nat worked as an auditor for US Industries where he traveled domestically and internationally. Desiring to be home with his young family, in 1976, he transferred to Fiberform Boats in Spokane. In 1980, he became the General Manager at Thermoguard Insulation and stayed with the company until his health forced him to retire in 2011. He loved his job, the people he worked with and their customers. Nat was a kind, gentle man with a devout faith and strong character; he loved to talk and joke with people. He volunteered as a youth coach and enjoyed helping at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Nat is survived by his wife, Biruta; sister, Bess Boyle of New York; son, Eric (Robin) Bonanno of Spokane; daughter, Debra True-Bonanno of Spokane; and daughter, Melissa Bonanno (Anji Weissenfluh) of Oregon. Nat was an extremely proud Papa to Justin, Ryan, Kelsey, Amy, Aaden, and Brooklyn. Nat was preceded into God’s Kingdom by his parents, his sister Rose, and nephew Eugene. He was also a loving uncle to Linda, Tom, Susan, Karen, and Joe. Public visitation will be Friday, September 26th, from 9am-7pm with the family available for greeting between 4-7pm at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N. Division, Spokane, WA. There will be a memorial service Saturday, September 27th, 2014 at 3pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7307 N. Nevada, Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Nat’s name to the local Alzheimer’s Association 910 W. 5th Spokane, WA 99204.
