David C Ferguson

August 23, 1930 — September 14, 2014

FERGUSON, DAVID C.  (age 84) – Entered into rest on September 14, 2014 in Spokane, WA. Born in Gillette, WY, David had been a resident of the area for the past 25 years. He was a graduate of Sheridan, WY High School and later earned his degree in Criminal Justice. He served our country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and continued to serve honorably retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 1967. Following his military service, David, worked in Law Enforcement and Criminal Investigation for numerous western states. He was a member of Concordia Masonic Lodge #249, Scottish Rite Bodies of the Valley of Coeur d’Alene, El Katif Shrine, Magnolia Chapter – Order of Eastern Star, Trinity Court – Order of Amaranth, and of VFW Post 1451. David was a devoted volunteer. He shared his time and talents regularly with numerous Masonic Lodges, S.C.O.P.E. Edgecliff, the Inland Northwest Blood Center, and the Spokane Shriners Hospital for Children. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lyn, at their Spokane Valley home; son, Dwight; daughters, Julie and Liz; sisters, Ruth, Florence, and Martha; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous friends. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 15319 E 8th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA, with Rev. Linda Bartholomew officiating and Rose Croix participating. Private interment with military honors at the Washington State Veterans Cememtery, Medical Lake, WA.
