Helen Hime

Helen Hime (age 93) entered into rest on January 8, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 8, 1920 in White Earth, North Dakota. Helen graduated from Chewelah High School in 1937. In 1937, Helen married Roy Hime and together they raised their children. A 70 year resident of the Spokane area, Helen worked in the community as a Food Service Manager for many years. She was a member of the Hillyard Senior Center and has won their “Lifetime Achievement” award. Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, her family, and playing pinochle. She is survived by her children; daughter, Jackie Baggen of North Bend, OR; and son, John Hime of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 1995. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 beginning at 1:00PM in the Sunset Mausoleum Chapel on the grounds of Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., in Spokane.
