Lillian Elizabeth Wood

Our beloved Lillian (Betty) Wood passed away December 1st, 2013 at the age of 90. Betty was born in Saskatchewan Canada to James and Alice Grumbly on September 24th, 1923. She was the eldest of 5 girls and 3 boys in her family. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1941. In 1944, Betty married Harold Wood and had two children soon after. She loved to camp and hike with her friends and family. Betty had a great love for painting, dancing and was a fabulous seamstress. She also worked and retired from the Spokane School District as a kitchen manager. Betty is survived by brothers Les Grumbly and Mark Grumbly, sister Laura Prichard, son and daughter in-law Robert and Elizabeth Wood, daughter Kari Edwards, granddaughters Courtney Edwards and Krista van Gaver, and great granddaughter Harper van Gaver. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery 5909 S. Cheney-Spokane Rd. Spokane, WA.
